Two different jobs, two different teams
A removals company moves your belongings safely and places the boxes in the right rooms. An organising team unpacks those boxes and makes the house work. Trying to buy the second job from the first usually means a partial unpack, because it is not what removals crews are set up to do.
How the two days fit together
- Moving day: the removals team loads, transports, unloads and places boxes and furniture.
- The following day: we unpack every room and organise storage as we go.
- Same day: empty boxes and packaging are flattened, stacked and ready for collection.
- That evening: the kitchen is ready to enjoy and the beds are made.
Label so the second day is fast
Room labels are what let an unpacking team work at speed. If the new house has several similar bedrooms, agree names or colours before packing starts and share them with both teams. Our guide to packing so unpacking is easy covers the detail.
Decide the scope in advance
Some households want the whole house finished. Others want the kitchen and principal bedroom done properly and will take the rest at their own pace. Both are sensible. We get to know your move and your family then recommend the package that actually fits. See packages and prices.
